Monday Motivation - Everything’s an experiment.

Happy Monday Reader!

How familiar are you with "imposter syndrome"?

Maybe you have heard the term. Maybe you understand what it means & entails....or perhaps you've even experienced it yourself.

One of my favorite teams on the internet is Vital Voice Training. This duo sends amazing weekly emails about public speaking, using our voice, and unapologetically taking up space.

If you've ever experienced imposter syndrome, you know how revolutionary those things can be!

Their email from last week addressed shifting imposter syndrome, and linked to an article that I'm still pondering due to how much it shifted my mind around this concept. (Here's that article. Go read it--it is SO GOOD.)

And today I am borrowing one of their mantras for our affirmation:

"Everything’s an experiment."

Obviously, the Vital Voice team intended this to help with imposter syndrome, and it definitely can.

But I've been telling my clients this for years because I like to apply it to everything productivity, time management, and habit related.

It can be scary to try new things, to step our of our comfort zone. To (potentially) fail and even look foolish if we mess up in front of other people.

This affirmation reframes the pressure around taking those risks! And it gives us permission to take this new, scary thing less seriously.

It allows us to step away from an "all or nothing" mindset. We may become more open to taking the parts of our experiment that worked well for us, and leaving the other bits behind.

By making any new, scary thing an experiment, we make space for curiosity and play. Let's welcome more of that into our lives this week by repeating 21x/day:

"Everything’s an experiment."

Free Mini Masterclass: Make Mental Space

Feeling short tempered or irritable lately? Sleeping poorly despite being exhausted? Struggling with concentrating on work?

If so, you may be experiencing mental fatigue!

Join me on Nov. 8 at 11am Central for a 20 minute mini masterclass on one technique to help combat your exhausting mental load.

(Obviously, I am not a doctor, so please speak with your healthcare professionals about these signs too!)

As always, affirmations work best when you truly believe them. They need to resonate with you and feel achievable. So feel free to modify any I suggest, or develop entirely new ones!

Say them as long as you want. I'm sharing a new affirmation each week, but that doesn't mean you have to switch it up each week unless it feels right. You can add new ones as often as you want and have as many as you want. You can say a different affirmation every day, or at different times of the day. You choose!

I'd love to hear the impact it has! (But if you decide affirmations are not for you, click here to be removed from this weekly email.)

I hope this affirmation sets you up for a kick ass week and I'll see you next Monday for a new one to try!

I always have time for you. ❤️

Hello Reader, Our affirmation stays the same this week: I have all the time I need. Remember: If you don't have all the time you need, there are only 2 ways to create it: Delete items from your to-do list or Delegate items from your to-do list I've been thinking a lot over the past week about having all the time I need for my hobbies. As a working adult, I don't always have time for my hobbies! And my hobbies are seasonal to an extent too. I don't need nearly as much time for gardening in the...
