Monday Motivation - I have all the time I need...for a sabbatical!

Hey Reader,

It's summer break! My husband is done teaching for the summer--he never teaches summer school because we need the break wayyyyyy more than we need that wee bit of extra money.

If you have kids, they're probably out now too, or very close! Don't forget I have a short course to help you plan your very best summer:

I know we have a lot planned already, and still more we're hoping to fit in. It's always a challenge to balance the fun stuff with getting extra projects done around our house. 10 weeks of summer break seems like so much time, but it always passes in a blink!

And this summer, for the first time, I'm going to take a sabbatical too! I'm putting my business on hold to just spend time with my husband, work on side projects, and chill. (I will still go to my part time job because let's be honest, I also like money! 😉 )

So I will not be in your inbox every Monday going forward. I might pop up here and there with some news or random musings, but I'm not going to keep an email schedule.

I'm gonna practice what I preach and honor my time this summer. It's a privilege to be able to take this much time off. It's also helpful that there's an end date. I know it won't last forever, so I can set aside my productivity guilt for a few weeks.

I hope you have a great summer! I hope you get to take a deep rest, whether it's for a day or a week or a month. I hope you also get to set aside productivity guilt and live in the moment, however briefly it might be.

❤️

Hello Reader, Our affirmation stays the same again this week: I have all the time I need. It's Memorial Day, so I hope you get to truly embody this affirmation today, or that you did over the weekend. I have all the time I need for rest. I have all the time I need for family. I have all the time I need for fun. I have all the time I need for pleasure. To keep our affirmation top of mind this week, today you can download digital backgrounds with our affirmation on them for your phone and/or...

Hello Reader, Our affirmation stays the same this week: I have all the time I need. Remember: If you don't have all the time you need, there are only 2 ways to create it: Delete items from your to-do list or Delegate items from your to-do list I've been thinking a lot over the past week about having all the time I need for my hobbies. As a working adult, I don't always have time for my hobbies! And my hobbies are seasonal to an extent too. I don't need nearly as much time for gardening in the...

Hey Reader, This affirmation is one I come back to again and again. I have all the time I need. It's an oldie but a goodie. Like a timeless LBD, it never goes out of style or use. When we strip everything else away, we have enough time for what we need. Enough time to sleep, to nourish our bodies/minds/souls, to care for others, to do meaningful work. It's all that other shit that gets in the way! Things like: Calls and texts at all hours.App notifications that pop up on their time line, not...
