Monday Motivation - I have all the time I need.


Hey Reader,

This affirmation is one I come back to again and again.

I have all the time I need.

It's an oldie but a goodie. Like a timeless LBD, it never goes out of style or use.

When we strip everything else away, we have enough time for what we need.

Enough time to sleep, to nourish our bodies/minds/souls, to care for others, to do meaningful work.

It's all that other shit that gets in the way! Things like:

Calls and texts at all hours.
App notifications that pop up on their time line, not yours.
Entropy--the reason things break down, and your house becomes dirty again no matter how many times you clean it.

There are so many ways to waste time. So many demands on our time. So many expectations to meet and people to please.

What I've been thinking about lately is that when we take away all the fluff and hacks and marketing there are really only 2 ways to create more time:

  1. Delete items from the to-do list
  2. Delegate items from the to-do list

So if you feel resistance to telling yourself I have all the time I need, (a mental eye roll perhaps?) take a look at where you can create the time you need by deleting or delegating this week.
