Monday Motivation - I am always in the right place at the right time for what’s meant to be.

Hello Reader,

This week we're tackling FOMO!

I am always in the right place at the right time for what’s meant to be.

My husband is working on a couple side projects: a novel & a video game.

Both of these industries can be pretty time sensitive--certain themes and genres seem to be more popular during some years than others. If you miss the window, you might be SOL.

At least...that's the way it feels to us!

Right now, both of his projects look like winners--a style or mash up of which there aren't many (or any, in one case!) out there yet. Which means he hasn't missed his window!

But that also puts a lot of pressure on him, because we don't know or have any control over when the window happens. And writing a book, or making a video game, while working full time (let alone all three things at once!!) takes a really long time.

And we've all heard the stories of the amazing product that came out just barely after a competitor and thus got mostly passed over.

That fear of missing out, of being too late, can cause a lot of anxiety. Or it can cause the opposite--a desire to give up if you think there's no point in trying. Or the worst of both: see-sawing between them!

My husband is struggling with this currently, but I've been there before. You probably have too! So, while today's affirmation is specifically designed for him (Love you babe! You better read this one! 😂), you and I can also benefit.

This week we will calm our nervous systems & FOMO by reminding ourselves 21x each day:

I am always in the right place at the right time for what’s meant to be.

❤️

Hello Reader, Our affirmation stays the same this week: I have all the time I need. Remember: If you don't have all the time you need, there are only 2 ways to create it: Delete items from your to-do list or Delegate items from your to-do list I've been thinking a lot over the past week about having all the time I need for my hobbies. As a working adult, I don't always have time for my hobbies! And my hobbies are seasonal to an extent too. I don't need nearly as much time for gardening in the...

Hey Reader, This affirmation is one I come back to again and again. I have all the time I need. It's an oldie but a goodie. Like a timeless LBD, it never goes out of style or use. When we strip everything else away, we have enough time for what we need. Enough time to sleep, to nourish our bodies/minds/souls, to care for others, to do meaningful work. It's all that other shit that gets in the way! Things like: Calls and texts at all hours.App notifications that pop up on their time line, not...
