Monday Motivation - I am bigger than my doubts, bolder than my fears, and stronger than my obstacles.

Happy Monday Reader!

We're halfway through January now, so how are those goals and resolutions coming? Still sticking with them?

Whether you've fallen off the wagon already or not, it's still a great time to evaluate how things are going. Don't panic--evaluating your progress from the past couple weeks doesn't have to be a huge time commitment.

The best way I've found for constant improvement is to regularly ask myself 3 simple questions:

  1. What's going well?
  2. What's not?
  3. What will I do differently?

That's it! That's all you need to see the patterns in your life so that you can do more of what works for you.

If you're starting to have second thoughts about your goals for 2024, about how committed you are or if you'll have time to fit it in, remind yourself every day this week:

"I am bigger than my doubts, bolder than my fears, and stronger than my obstacles."

Keep evaluating, keep adjusting, and keep moving towards your goals and dreams.

A study once found that it took "an average of 66 days was required to form a habit, with a range between 18 and 254 days." That's so much longer than I expected! What about you?

But that helps us keep this year in perspective--we're only 15 days in, so there's no way your new habit has formed yet.

It's normal if you're starting to have doubts. And it's totally fine if you've messed up a time or two. As long as you get back into it, you haven't failed.

Don't let your doubts, fears, or obstacles stand in the way of what you want to accomplish this week, this quarter, or this year.

Let's cement our belief by repeating to ourselves 21x every day this week:

"I am bigger than my doubts, bolder than my fears, and stronger than my obstacles."

Bonus: Free Weekly Training Video

Did you catch last week's free training on the #1 time management myth? If not, here's the replay!

I challenge you this week to whole-ass one thing every day. The negative impacts of multitasking are too severe to let it dictate our time and energy.

As always, affirmations work best when you truly believe them. They need to resonate with you and feel achievable. So feel free to modify any I suggest, or develop entirely new ones!

Say them as long as you want. I'm sharing a new affirmation each week, but that doesn't mean you have to switch it up each week unless it feels right. You can add new ones as often as you want and have as many as you want. You can say a different affirmation every day, or at different times of the day. You choose!

I'd love to hear the impact it has! (But if you decide affirmations are not for you, click here to be removed from this weekly email.)

I hope this affirmation sets you up for a kick ass week and I'll see you next Monday for a new one to try!

Happy Monday Reader! I believe in giving everyone and every experience the benefit of the doubt. I'm willing to try pretty much any food or activity once to see how it goes, so why wouldn't I do the same for people? And like my favorite rule of thumb about when something's a problem ("Once is an accident, twice is a trend, and 3 times is a pattern.") I will always, always, give something a second chance. But once a pattern starts to show up, or once someone has treated me or my loved ones...

Happy Monday Reader! I'm proud to share that I followed through on last week's plan to show my face more in my marketing content! Batching content is a great way to be more efficient as a business owner, so I used that strategy to record & create a half dozen videos last week, which I can now use for a wide range of content! I set aside a chunk of time to record videos, made notes on topics and key points I wanted to mention, and even planned costume changes. I fixed my hair and put on some...

Happy Monday Reader! We interrupt this regularly scheduled broadcast to bring you an important request. I could really use your help to grow my business! You've been here a while, so you know I'm passionate about helping people understand themselves, value themselves & their time, and protect their time. I'm happy to talk about this stuff all the time, for free. But unfortunately, we live under capitalism and I have to keep my freeloader cat in treats and kibbles. And that's NOT free! Said...
