Monday Motivation - I am committed to staying the course, even when the journey becomes challenging.

Happy Monday Reader!

Would you like to work fewer hours in your biz this year (without sacrificing any income!) and get back to loving your business and life again? Schedule a free chat to see how I can help!

Oh snap, it's April today!

That means it's the start of a new quarter, AND taxes are due soon!

Did this come out of (seemingly) nowhere for you too? Last week was spring break for my husband and we took a short trip to Omaha, NE, so I'm still catching up. We had a lovely time and I'm glad we did it, but coming back from vacation can be so hard!

For our household, it's feeling hard to get back into the normal swing of things. To return to the day to day slog of work and life maintenance (my new catch all term for household chores, adult tasks like paying bills, and basic personal maintenance like showering--all of which takes time and isn't even fun!)

To help us recommit to our "real" life this week, our affirmation is:

"I am committed to staying the course, even when the journey becomes challenging."

What journey has become challenging for you lately?

Did you have any first quarter goals you let taper off as we got further into the year?

Did you struggle with consistency around a new habit or business process?

Whatever it was, take a moment now to acknowledge where you were successful.

I recently hired a new coach, and she's been gently encouraging me to focus on what I actually did (however small it may be) instead of on where I failed to follow through.

The universe is conspiring to get that message through my head because I also recently saw a similar message on social media: If beating yourself up worked, it would have worked by now. 🤯

Mind blown, right?!

The past has passed and we can't change it now, so let's use this week's affirmation to recommit to ourselves and our goals by repeating 21x every day:

"I am committed to staying the course, even when the journey becomes challenging."

Because the only way out is through. And the alternatives are worse. ❤️

As always, affirmations work best when you truly believe them. They need to resonate with you and feel achievable. So feel free to modify any I suggest, or develop entirely new ones!

Say them as long as you want. I'm sharing a new affirmation each week, but that doesn't mean you have to switch it up each week unless it feels right. You can add new ones as often as you want and have as many as you want. You can say a different affirmation every day, or at different times of the day. You choose!

I'd love to hear the impact it has! (But if you decide affirmations are not for you, click here to be removed from this weekly email.)

I hope this affirmation sets you up for a kick ass week and I'll see you next Monday for a new one to try!

Ready to make time for great things in 2024? I have 1-1 coaching spots available to teach you how to put your limited time, energy, & attention to the work that moves the needle in just 1 hour a week. Hit reply or pick a time on my calendar here to learn more.

I always have time for you. ❤️

Hello Reader, Our affirmation stays the same this week: I have all the time I need. Remember: If you don't have all the time you need, there are only 2 ways to create it: Delete items from your to-do list or Delegate items from your to-do list I've been thinking a lot over the past week about having all the time I need for my hobbies. As a working adult, I don't always have time for my hobbies! And my hobbies are seasonal to an extent too. I don't need nearly as much time for gardening in the...
