Monday Motivation - I am proud of my accomplishments and look forward to making time for more great things in my life.

Happy Monday Reader!

Welcome back to our small series of affirmations to help us navigate the holidays!

Today is Christmas, so the bulk of the holiday season chaos is probably over for you. But I want to recap the 3 techniques we covered over the last few weeks so they can help with New Year's Eve!

Whether you go out and party til dawn, or celebrate "midnight" by 9pm, you can still use these tips to make it the most enjoyable NYE ever.

Let's recap my 3 techniques to de-stress your holidays this year:

  1. Visualize your perfect holiday. Be as selfish and idealistic as you want, but then make an achievable plan.
  2. Make a plan to prevent extra stress. Know your boundaries and stick to them, even when the guilt trips start.
  3. Take a break to reset & recharge when overwhelmed. 3 breaths, 3 minutes, half an hour--anything helps.

And as always, I want to give you a new affirmation to end 2023 on a positive note. So, remind yourself every day this week:

"I am proud of my accomplishments and look forward to making time for more great things in my life."

Sending best wishes to you for a happy, healthy new year!

As always, affirmations work best when you truly believe them. They need to resonate with you and feel achievable. So feel free to modify any I suggest, or develop entirely new ones!

Say them as long as you want. I'm sharing a new affirmation each week, but that doesn't mean you have to switch it up each week unless it feels right. You can add new ones as often as you want and have as many as you want. You can say a different affirmation every day, or at different times of the day. You choose!

I'd love to hear the impact it has! (But if you decide affirmations are not for you, click here to be removed from this weekly email.)

I hope this affirmation sets you up for a kick ass week and I'll see you next Monday for a new one to try!

Breathe deep. Drink plenty of water. You got this!

Happy Monday Reader! I believe in giving everyone and every experience the benefit of the doubt. I'm willing to try pretty much any food or activity once to see how it goes, so why wouldn't I do the same for people? And like my favorite rule of thumb about when something's a problem ("Once is an accident, twice is a trend, and 3 times is a pattern.") I will always, always, give something a second chance. But once a pattern starts to show up, or once someone has treated me or my loved ones...

Happy Monday Reader! I'm proud to share that I followed through on last week's plan to show my face more in my marketing content! Batching content is a great way to be more efficient as a business owner, so I used that strategy to record & create a half dozen videos last week, which I can now use for a wide range of content! I set aside a chunk of time to record videos, made notes on topics and key points I wanted to mention, and even planned costume changes. I fixed my hair and put on some...

Happy Monday Reader! We interrupt this regularly scheduled broadcast to bring you an important request. I could really use your help to grow my business! You've been here a while, so you know I'm passionate about helping people understand themselves, value themselves & their time, and protect their time. I'm happy to talk about this stuff all the time, for free. But unfortunately, we live under capitalism and I have to keep my freeloader cat in treats and kibbles. And that's NOT free! Said...
