Monday Motivation - I am worthy of love and respect, exactly as I am.

Happy Monday Reader!

Messaging around Valentine's Day is focused on romantic love, the love between partnered people. But there are many other types of love we can celebrate this month as well!

We're been talking about showing our friends and family we care, but there's one other person who needs to be shown some love--yourself!

So let's show ourselves some love this week with our affirmation:

"I am worthy of love and respect, exactly as I am."

Our society can make us feel inadequate if we aren't in a romantic relationship, but I'd love for us to flip that script and celebrate our deep friendships and our self-love instead.

All types of relationships are important. We're social creatures by nature. But because we live under capitalism, there's less money to be made if we're satisfied. Especially if we're satisfied with ourselves. With how we look, and feel.

One of the most rebellious things we can do is create radical self love and fight back against all that messaging. (Especially as women! We're constantly targeted by these types of negative, unhappy messages.)

I know from experience that it's really hard though. It's really tough to undo decades of conditioning that tells us to nitpick every aspect of ourselves. We can't just flip a button and go from hating ourselves to loving ourselves.

But the good news is: we weren't born thinking these negative thoughts.

They were taught to us.

And if we learned them? We can unlearn them!

It might not be fast.

It might not be easy.

But in the end, it's worth it.

After all, you are the only person you will spend your entire literal life with. So you might as well enjoy the company! 😉

To start building (or increase) our self love, we repeat to ourselves 21x every day this week:

"I am worthy of love and respect, exactly as I am."

Because you are. And if that doesn't feel true yet, shoot me an email. I will believe it for you until you can believe it for yourself. That's what a coach does. 💕

In this video I discuss all things relationships! Whether they’re platonic or romantic, all relationships need our time and attention if they are going to thrive.

As always, affirmations work best when you truly believe them. They need to resonate with you and feel achievable. So feel free to modify any I suggest, or develop entirely new ones!

Say them as long as you want. I'm sharing a new affirmation each week, but that doesn't mean you have to switch it up each week unless it feels right. You can add new ones as often as you want and have as many as you want. You can say a different affirmation every day, or at different times of the day. You choose!

I'd love to hear the impact it has! (But if you decide affirmations are not for you, click here to be removed from this weekly email.)

I hope this affirmation sets you up for a kick ass week and I'll see you next Monday for a new one to try!

Hello Reader, Our affirmation stays the same this week: I have all the time I need. Remember: If you don't have all the time you need, there are only 2 ways to create it: Delete items from your to-do list or Delegate items from your to-do list I've been thinking a lot over the past week about having all the time I need for my hobbies. As a working adult, I don't always have time for my hobbies! And my hobbies are seasonal to an extent too. I don't need nearly as much time for gardening in the...
