Monday Motivation - I attract positive and enriching relationships into my life effortlessly.

Published 2 months ago • 2 min read

Happy Monday Reader!

There are so many types of relationships in our lives.

We have close friends & family, acquaintances, coworkers, distant relatives, possibly even estranged family, and more. From the deep to the shallow, the frequent to occasional, every type has its place.

But of course our deepest relationships are the most fulfilling.

If you want more of those relationships, our affirmation this week will help:

"I attract positive and enriching relationships into my life effortlessly."

When we were kids in school, it was easy to make friends. We were stuck together all day all week after all! We had forced time & proximity together.

I hear from a lot of folks these days how hard it is to make new friends as an adult. And it is hard! It takes time, effort, vulnerability, and consistency. These things may not come naturally to you.

They didn't to me! It was super scary to start putting myself out there at networking events, and even now I find them draining & need more quiet time to recharge afterwards.

But now I know from experience that putting yourself out there is worth it. I now have a set of entrepreneur friends and that is so helpful because owning a business is hella hard and requires a lot of specific support.

And I wouldn't have had that if I hadn't started putting in the time & effort to meet those folks.

To start building (or increase) our most valuable and fulfilling relationships, we repeat to ourselves 21x every day this week:

"I attract positive and enriching relationships into my life effortlessly."

And if that doesn't feel true yet, shoot me an email. We can set up a virtual coffee to make an action plan for you to meet people in ways that feel fun and rewarding to you. Because you won't find the time to prioritize it if it's not. 💕

Our cell phones are a tool, which means they aren’t inherently good or bad. They’re what we make of them.

But they are addicting and they are compulsive. And I want YOU to be in charge of how often or how much of your time your phone steals!

Check out this Live video on practical techniques to reclaim time from your phone!

As always, affirmations work best when you truly believe them. They need to resonate with you and feel achievable. So feel free to modify any I suggest, or develop entirely new ones!

Say them as long as you want. I'm sharing a new affirmation each week, but that doesn't mean you have to switch it up each week unless it feels right. You can add new ones as often as you want and have as many as you want. You can say a different affirmation every day, or at different times of the day. You choose!

I'd love to hear the impact it has! (But if you decide affirmations are not for you, click here to be removed from this weekly email.)

I hope this affirmation sets you up for a kick ass week and I'll see you next Monday for a new one to try!

Happy Monday Reader! Do you have a scarcity or an abundance mindset? If you're like me, the answer may change depending on the week! (Or even the hour some days.) When we have a scarcity mindset we operate our business from fear. We worry new clients or opportunities won't show up. That our past or current success was a fluke. That it can all disappear without notice. TBH, being in scarcity mindset sucks. And we might not feel like we can change it. We might believe living with scarcity is...

Hello Reader! We'll be at Equal Minded Café at 4327 Troost Ave, KCMO from 5:30-7:30pm on Thursday, April 25. Happy Monday Reader! When I was a kid, we only listened to country music on the radio. I have extensive knowledge of 90s country--Garth Brooks, Shania Twain, Reba McEntire, you name it! There are so many songs I don't even remember I know all the words to...until they're coming out of my mouth as I sing along! But there's one song that is practically an anthem for my life. And not necessarily in a good way! 😅 Alabama's song "I'm in a Hurry" is referenced weekly in my house! Because I "rush &...
