Hello Reader, Our affirmation stays the same again this week: I love the person I am and the person I am becoming. You're not the same person today that you were a year ago. Are you paying attention to how you are changing? You've got to in order to ensure you really love the person you are becoming! We become different people in big and small ways every day. But it's hard to see the changes until you've been doing it for a while--at least a few months in my experience. One of the ways I'm becoming a new person is in my garden! I used to describe myself as a black thumb. Not even brown, because I didn't just struggle with plants, I killed them. All of them. Even the supposedly "easy to grow" or "impossible to kill" ones! You name it, I've probably killed it. 😂 From orchids to cacti to rosemary, nothing survived under my care. Until the last few years, when something started changing. Despite all my plant and garden failures, I refused to stop trying. (My husband even asked me to, multiple times! He was convinced I'd save money and time if I just went to the farmers' market every week instead.) I kept evaluating my garden work at the end of each summer: What went well? And about a year or so ago, I realized...I wasn't killing plants any more! For the first time ever, I even rescued plants from garden center clearance racks and nursed them back to health! I'm slowly becoming the type of person who gardens. Who gardens successfully. And I truly love that about the person I am becoming! To keep our affirmation top of mind this week, today you can download digital backgrounds with our affirmation on them for your phone and/or desktop computer!
If you aren't sure how to change your backgrounds, here are some instructions. For cell phones: For desktop computers: We continue to remind ourselves 21x each day: I love the person I am and the person I am becoming. P.S. Who is the new person you are becoming? I'd love to hear about it! Hit reply & let me know! |
