Monday Motivation - I release guilt... audio & video versions!

I'm thinking a lot lately about capitalism and hustle culture and the uncomfortable space they take up in my brain. I'm pondering running an anti-capitalism challenge with simple tips you can try to unlearn their damaging beliefs.

If that might be of interest to you, click here so I know!

Now on to our regularly scheduled programming.

Hello Reader,

Our affirmation stays the same this week:

I release guilt and negative thoughts around how I spend my time.

Weirdly, one of the places I encounter guilt and impatience is spending time with my cat! Somehow he seems to know the most inconvenient times to decide to be affectionate. Or when I really, really don't need cat hair on my dressy outfit.

In those moments I literally have to take a deep breath and remind myself that he won't be around forever and I want to cherish all the time I get. He's not often a cuddly guy, so I have to work with his mood & interest.

After all, where is time always best spent? With loved ones--including pets!

This week you can listen to and/or watch me say our affirmation 21 times.

I hope having more options helps you create time every day to repeat our affirmations. The more often you say them, the faster they will impact you.

We continue to remind ourselves 21x each day:

I release guilt and negative thoughts around how I spend my time.

Remember: If you don't have all the time you need, there are only 2 ways to create it: Delete items from your to-do list or Delegate items from your to-do list I've been thinking a lot over the past week about having all the time I need for my hobbies. As a working adult, I don't always have time for my hobbies! And my hobbies are seasonal to an extent too. I don't need nearly as much time for gardening in the...

Hey Reader, This affirmation is one I come back to again and again. I have all the time I need. It's an oldie but a goodie. Like a timeless LBD, it never goes out of style or use. When we strip everything else away, we have enough time for what we need. Enough time to sleep, to nourish our bodies/minds/souls, to care for others, to do meaningful work. It's all that other shit that gets in the way! Things like: Calls and texts at all hours.App notifications that pop up on their time line, not...
