Monday Motivation - "I release guilt..." digital backgrounds!

Hello Reader,

If you enjoy these emails, if they make you think, if you get value from my weekly motivational notes, consider forwarding them to a friend! Sharing is caring. ❤️

Our affirmation stays the same again this week:

I release guilt and negative thoughts around how I spend my time.

Last week was spring break for my husband, so we took a short trip to Omaha, NE! Making time for even mini vacations is a high priority for me.

My husband and I love to travel, and even though our reduced budget (and the fact I work in an office again!) means we no longer take weeks-long international trips, I still make time to travel about once a quarter.

Sometimes it's even as small as a stay-cation in our own city! One of our favorite memories was the time we rented an AirBnB apartment across the street from the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and walked over through slowly falling, giant snow flakes.

It's so helpful just to change your surroundings. To get away from the never ending chore list of your home. I find it's easier for me to release guilt about not being ~Productive~ when I literally can't do those chores!

Remember: there's absolutely no shame in stacking the deck in your favor! It's your life and there's no right or wrong way to do it.

To keep our affirmation top of mind this week, today you can download digital backgrounds with our affirmation on them for your phone and/or desktop computer!

If you aren't sure how to change your backgrounds, here are some instructions.

For cell phones:

For desktop computers:

We continue to remind ourselves 21x each day:

I release guilt and negative thoughts around how I spend my time.

Hey Reader, This affirmation is one I come back to again and again. I have all the time I need. It's an oldie but a goodie. Like a timeless LBD, it never goes out of style or use. When we strip everything else away, we have enough time for what we need. Enough time to sleep, to nourish our bodies/minds/souls, to care for others, to do meaningful work. It's all that other shit that gets in the way! Things like: Calls and texts at all hours.App notifications that pop up on their time line, not...

Hello Reader, Our affirmation stays the same again this week: I am always in the right place at the right time for what’s meant to be. I'll be honest: this affirmation hasn't been resonating super well with me. I haven't seen any movement on the job/money/gigs front. I don't feel like I'm in the right place. I'm overwhelmed with the amount of chaos happening in our country right now and I keep re-opening decisions I thought I'd made & put behind me. But when I look back over the past two...
