Hello Reader,
Our affirmation stays the same again this week: I release guilt and negative thoughts around how I spend my time. Last week was spring break for my husband, so we took a short trip to Omaha, NE! Making time for even mini vacations is a high priority for me. My husband and I love to travel, and even though our reduced budget (and the fact I work in an office again!) means we no longer take weeks-long international trips, I still make time to travel about once a quarter. Sometimes it's even as small as a stay-cation in our own city! One of our favorite memories was the time we rented an AirBnB apartment across the street from the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and walked over through slowly falling, giant snow flakes. It's so helpful just to change your surroundings. To get away from the never ending chore list of your home. I find it's easier for me to release guilt about not being ~Productive~ when I literally can't do those chores! Remember: there's absolutely no shame in stacking the deck in your favor! It's your life and there's no right or wrong way to do it. To keep our affirmation top of mind this week, today you can download digital backgrounds with our affirmation on them for your phone and/or desktop computer!
If you aren't sure how to change your backgrounds, here are some instructions. For cell phones: For desktop computers: We continue to remind ourselves 21x each day: I release guilt and negative thoughts around how I spend my time. |
Time is the single most valuable thing we have. I help busy business owners get out of overwhelm to work fewer hours in their business (without sacrificing income!) so they can get back to enjoying their business and their life again.
Hey Reader, It's summer break! My husband is done teaching for the summer--he never teaches summer school because we need the break wayyyyyy more than we need that wee bit of extra money. If you have kids, they're probably out now too, or very close! Don't forget I have a short course to help you plan your very best summer: Super Successful Summer I know we have a lot planned already, and still more we're hoping to fit in. It's always a challenge to balance the fun stuff with getting extra...

Hello Reader, Our affirmation stays the same this week: I have all the time I need. Remember: If you don't have all the time you need, there are only 2 ways to create it: Delete items from your to-do list or Delegate items from your to-do list I've been thinking a lot over the past week about having all the time I need for my hobbies. As a working adult, I don't always have time for my hobbies! And my hobbies are seasonal to an extent too. I don't need nearly as much time for gardening in the...
