Monday Motivation - I see opportunity everywhere.

Happy Monday Reader!

We're back for a new affirmation to power us through the week.

What area of your life would you like to expand this week? If something specific immediately comes to mind, great! Think of that while saying the affirmation below.

If not, here are a few suggestions to pick from:

  • Physical health
  • Family
  • Friends
  • Fun & recreation
  • Finances
  • Career

Choose one area, then say to yourself every day:

"I see opportunity everywhere."

One of the benefits of affirmations is they focus your attention on a specific area. And what gets your attention, time, and energy...grows. So we want to make sure we're growing the right things. The things that will improve our lives, or make us better, happier people.

We want to leave our affirmations a bit open as well, because we don't get to boss God or the universe (or whatever you believe in) around. We get to be open to & ready for whatever opportunities show up in our lives. And when we're focused on a single area of opportunity, we may just see things in a different light as well.

Maybe you see a potential new friend while out & about in your neighborhood.

Maybe you see a chance to move your body in a fun way, thereby getting more exercise without even going to the gym.

Maybe an ask to volunteer outside of work becomes an opportunity to advance your career, instead of just another tedious obligation.

Let's take this week to inspire ourselves with possibilities by repeating 21x every day "I see opportunity everywhere."

As always, affirmations work best when you truly believe them. They need to resonate with you and feel achievable. So feel free to modify any I suggest, or develop entirely new ones!

Say them as long as you want. I'm sharing a new affirmation each week, but that doesn't mean you have to switch it up each week unless it feels right. You can add new ones as often as you want and have as many as you want. You can say a different affirmation every day, or at different times of the day. You choose!

I'd love to hear the impact it has! (But if you decide affirmations are not for you, click here to be removed from this weekly email.)

I hope this affirmation sets you up for a kick ass week and I'll see you next Monday for a new one to try!

Breathe deep. Drink plenty of water. You got this!

Hello Reader, Our affirmation stays the same this week: I am always in the right place at the right time for what’s meant to be....

Hello Reader, This week we're tackling FOMO! I am always in the right place at the right time for what’s meant to be. My husband is working on a couple side projects: a novel & a video game. Both of these industries can be pretty time sensitive--certain themes and genres seem to be more popular during some years than others. If you miss the window, you might be SOL. At least...that's the way it feels to us! Right now, both of his projects look like winners--a style or mash up of which there...

Hello Reader, If you enjoy these emails, if they make you think, if you get value from my weekly motivational notes, consider forwarding them to a friend! Sharing is caring. ❤️ Our affirmation stays the same again this week: I release guilt and negative thoughts around how I spend my time. Last week was spring break for my husband, so we took a short trip to Omaha, NE! Making time for even mini vacations is a high priority for me. My husband and I love to travel, and even though our reduced...
