Monday Motivation - I am worthy of all the success and abundance coming my way.

Published about 2 months ago • 3 min read

Happy Monday Reader!

Last week's affirmation opened our minds to opportunities to create or discover abundance. This week's affirmation takes the next step in our efforts to cultivate an abundance mindset--believing we deserve abundance.

"I am worthy of all the success and abundance coming my way."

I'm still a work in progress at cultivating my abundance mindset. But when I keep it top of mind, I see results!

Here's how this has showed up in my life since last week:

I'm partnering with a grants writing specialist, and my first task was going through the list of potential grant opportunities she compiled for me. Most of these grants have been around for a while, so they have testimonials and success stories from prior winners displayed prominently on their websites.

And boy did reading those amazing stories turn my imposter syndrome, inner critic voice up to 11!

"Wow she's amazing. I'm not doing anything that meaningful."

"Who cares about my little for-profit business that made less than $10,000 last year?"

And the worst, most insidious thought: "Maybe I shouldn't even bother."

When our brains tell us these thoughts they feel 100% true. But it's actually your brain trying to protect you from the new, the unknown, the scary, and the risky. Because thousands of years ago, the unknown meant bears! Lions! Possible sudden death!

Nowadays, most of what I'm risking is my pride. Looking or feeling foolish. Being embarrassed. And my oh-so-helpful brain wants to protect me from potentially experiencing unpleasant feelings too.

But you know and I know that stepping out of our comfort zone is vital to growing our business. To creating that abundance we crave.

So this week we take the next step in convincing our brains that new, unknown success and abundance is a good thing. It's not a fluke, and we deserve all the good things we are working so damn hard to create.

Join me in repeating 21x every day:

"I am worthy of all the success and abundance coming my way."

❤️

As always, affirmations work best when you truly believe them. They need to resonate with you and feel achievable. So feel free to modify any I suggest, or develop entirely new ones!

Say them as long as you want. I'm sharing a new affirmation each week, but that doesn't mean you have to switch it up each week unless it feels right. You can add new ones as often as you want and have as many as you want. You can say a different affirmation every day, or at different times of the day. You choose!

I'd love to hear the impact it has! (But if you decide affirmations are not for you, click here to be removed from this weekly email.)

I hope this affirmation sets you up for a kick ass week and I'll see you next Monday for a new one to try!

Happy Monday Reader! Last week I realized something that I'd rather hide from you. It's one of my biggest fears, and I can barely believe I am going to write it out in an email, sent via the internet, which has the potential to be around forever. But here goes. I realized I'm a hypocrite. Ugh, I hate typing that out! I try my hardest to stay vigilant against this tendency, because it's one of the things I judge the most in others. But suddenly I realized that in all the times I internally...

Happy Monday Reader! Again and again, women tell me they feel guilty for how they spent their time. Time-related guilt typically comes up when we are doing one thing but worry we should be doing something else, whether that was spending time with family, doing maintenance around the house, or especially when we take time for ourselves. If you identify with this struggle, this week's affirmation will help! "I can be trusted to make the right decision on how to spend my time." When our...
