Happy Monday Reader! How would it feel to work fewer hours in your biz this year (without sacrificing any income!) and get back to loving your business and life again? Schedule a free chat to see how I can help!
It's the 2nd Monday of the new quarter and a great time to do a check in! Set aside some time this week or next to review your goals & progress so far this year. Make any adjustments you need, then we're going to recommit with today's affirmation: "I forgive myself for past mistakes & recommit to my goals because I am in this for the long haul." No, the 2nd week of April is not too late to do some quarterly or even yearly planning! Taking time to evaluate is never a bad decision. Plus, it can even be as simple as my 3 favorite questions:
I bet you could answer those questions in less than 30 min, so no excuses not to do some reflecting this week! You know I'm also a fan of reminding ourselves that small progress is still progress. And you know that growth isn't a straight line either! When we have big, hairy, audacious goals (BHAG) in mind for our business...it can be a bit intimidating to attempt them. Somedays they inspire us and keep us motivated. Other times they seem too far away & impossible to reach. And if we mess up or stop pursuing them, it can feel easier to just give up. But a new quarter is an excellent time to decide if the goal is worth it, and recommit if so. (There's absolutely no shame in deciding it's not, BTW. And it's better to realize that in Q2 than Q4 so you don't waste any more time pursuing the wrong fit!) The path of entrepreneurship is long and winding, frequently obscure and even lonely. But you started your business for a reason and you are not ready to give up. Let's use this week's affirmation to give ourselves grace for past screw ups, and reconnect to our goals by repeating 21x every day: "I forgive myself for past mistakes & recommit to my goals because I am in this for the long haul." Because perfection is unattainable, and small progress is still progress. ❤️ As always, affirmations work best when you truly believe them. They need to resonate with you and feel achievable. So feel free to modify any I suggest, or develop entirely new ones! Say them as long as you want. I'm sharing a new affirmation each week, but that doesn't mean you have to switch it up each week unless it feels right. You can add new ones as often as you want and have as many as you want. You can say a different affirmation every day, or at different times of the day. You choose! I'd love to hear the impact it has! (But if you decide affirmations are not for you, click here to be removed from this weekly email.) I hope this affirmation sets you up for a kick ass week and I'll see you next Monday for a new one to try! Ready to make time for great things in 2024? I have 1-1 coaching spots available to teach you how to put your limited time, energy, & attention to the work that moves the needle in just 1 hour a week. Happy Monday Reader! How familiar are you with "imposter syndrome"? Maybe you have heard the term. Maybe you understand what it means & entails....or perhaps you've even experienced it yourself. One of my favorite teams on the internet is Vital Voice Training. This duo sends amazing weekly emails about public speaking, using our voice, and unapologetically taking up space. If you've ever experienced imposter syndrome, you know how revolutionary those things can be! Their email from last week...
Happy Monday Reader! Well, last week kicked my butt! I'm still adjusting to my new schedule, and it's been more of a struggle than I expected! I didn't write out my week in my planner like I usually do, and that came back to bite me in the ass. I managed my time pretty poorly...which feels like a shameful thing to admit as your time creation coach! But as I encourage my clients to give themselves grace when they mess up, and to look at it as information, I can do the same for myself. "I am...
Happy Monday Reader! What does your body need right now? We're officially in the fall season in the northern hemisphere. The days are getting shorter. The temps are cooling down. (In the mornings, at least! It still hit high 80s over the weekend here in KC.) With all these changes, do you need to pay a bit more attention to what your body or mind is craving right now? "It is safe to listen to my body." When I get busy, it's easy to stop listening. The things that recharge me best--art,...
